The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service
Date:
04/01/2010 - 02/06/2010
Location:
The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK for outstanding work done in their local communities.
You can nominate any group of two or more people in the UK doing volunteering work that provides a specific benefit to a local area for three or more years. Their volunteering work can include support to people overseas.
Although the group must also have been volunteering for three years or more, an organisation doing a short term project could be considered for nomination.
Winners of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service are announced on 2 June every year.
