Through your local forum you have
- better communication with the local authority and other official bodies,
- effective representation in the decision-making process,
- an opportunity to put forward the views of the group you represent,
- a community group that is the source of local knowledge.
The Network is here to help you form neighbourhood partnerships and engage with the local authority and other bodies to solve problems in your area so that you are taking an active part in the decisions made about your area and the public services that are provided to the community. These neighbourhood partnerships involve a cross-section of the community including youth, people with disabilities, ethnic minority groups, older people and people from different faiths.
