FORUMS
Forum is a fancy name for a focus group which addresses particular issues like disability, older people, faith, environment or children and young people. Groups are sometimes also focused on geographical areas like a residential area or electoral ward.
Through the Network your group can have representatives on the various Thematic or Geographical Forums. These forums are made up of people from the community. They provide an opportunity for people to share experience and skills and develop new ideas for the future. These ideas can then be fed to the Local Strategic Partnership Working Groups via the Network. Several of Hyndburn's Forums have representation on the Local Strategic Partnership Assembly Board (LSP).
If you have an interest in any of the following areas, please contact the Network and speak to the team.
The current forums (focus groups) are:
- Hyndburn Disabled Persons' Forum
- Hyndburn Inter Faith Forum
- Hyndburn Over 50's Forum
- Hyndburn Voluntary Sector Forum
- BME (Black & Minority Ethnic) Forum
- Woman's Voice Forum
- LCTP VCFS Forum
